Effective 21 August 2026
Terms of use
These terms apply to the free hidden-character inspector and its educational pages.
The service provided
The workbench inspects admitted Unicode text in your browser, performs a bounded structural provenance preflight, reveals covered hidden characters and can delete only selected occurrences permitted by the current policy. It may provide local text/Markdown output and a local JSON change receipt.
It does not remove every AI watermark, detect AI authorship, remove SynthID, validate or strip Content Credentials, clean document metadata, paraphrase writing or guarantee how a school, employer, publisher, detector or platform will evaluate content.
Acceptable use
You may use the service to inspect text you are authorized to handle and to make your own reviewable formatting cleanup. You remain responsible for the content, the decision to remove a character, the resulting meaning and compliance with contracts, policies and law.
Do not use the service to violate another person’s rights, misrepresent provenance, defeat a lawful integrity control, evade academic or professional rules, interfere with the service, probe private operator routes or distribute malicious content. A protected provenance refusal is a safeguard, not an invitation to work around it.
No guarantee or professional advice
The utility is provided on an “as available” basis. Unicode context can be language- and application-specific, browsers and devices differ, and external systems can interpret text differently. Inspect the reveal view, output and receipt before relying on a change and keep an original when it matters.
Educational content is general technical information, not legal, academic, security or professional advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the service.
Availability and changes
The operator may rate-limit abusive automated traffic, correct content, update the versioned inspection policy or disable the workbench for safety or maintenance. The utility kill switch prevents new page loads; it cannot recall a browser bundle somebody already saved separately.
A material expansion—such as server processing, telemetry, a new watermark mechanism or different provenance behavior—requires a reviewed product and privacy change. Updated terms will show a new effective date.

Questions can be sent using the contact instructions. Do not include working text, findings, cleaned output or receipts.
